Calla Jean is a dumpster diving, thrift store styling, street scavenger and proud of it. She started Oddment Salvage during the covid pandemic, going for walks during what used to be her morning commute. She kept finding interesting objects on the sidewalks and in the trash around her neighborhood. She began painting them and quickly fell in love with the feeling of renewing items that others saw no use for.
Calla lives in Brooklyn, New York with her fiance and two black cats who have brought her all kinds of luck. She's an alumna of The Castle, a Brooklyn co-living space and cultural hub. She's an avid dancer, specializing in blues-fusion, zouk, and contra. For her day job, she works in disaster recovery and climate resilience, helping mitigate the impacts of climate change on New Yorkers.
